BUSCH

It is with much sadness that the Family of Mary Hazel Busch announces her passing at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at the age of 93 years.

Mary was born in Mullingar, Saskatchewan on March 9, 1924. She spent the first half of her life in British Columbia, where she married Charles Starnes. After his passing, she met and was later united in marriage to Bill Busch, and they relocated to Rimbey in 1972. They spent the next 45 years happily together on their small acreage. Mary spent 40 years volunteering for numerous organizations around the Town of Rimbey, and she loved every minute of it! Her life touched so many people, and they all became her friends along the way.

Mary will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her son, Brian (Patti) Starnes of Cranbrook, B.C.; and her daughter, Selma Pshyk of Dawson Creek, B.C.; as well as her cherished grandson, Stacey Pshyk; and five treasured great grandchildren: Terrace, Dawson, and Kaleb Starnes; and Tyler and Jordan Pshyk. Mary was predeceased by her parents, George and Bessie Knocks; her first husband, Charles; her second husband, Bill; her grandson, Robert Starnes; one brother, Roy; and one sister, Amelia and her husband, Harvie Ife.

The Family wishes to send a heartfelt thank you to Mary’s very special friends whose visits brought her so much joy and happiness. You each hold a special place in her heart! They would also like to extend a thank you to Laverne and Michelle of Oberhammer Funeral Chapels for the kindness and compassion they have shown our family at this most difficult time.

With respect for Mary's wishes, no formal Funeral Service was held. Cremation took place at the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer. Condolences to the Family may be expressed by e-mail to: special_reflections@telusplanet.net
