HOFER

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Diane Marie Hofer (nee Gabas) of Sunnyside, Alberta, formerly of Calgary, on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at the age of 63 years.

Diane was born on December 27, 1955 in Brooks, Alberta to Joe and Marjorie Gabas (nee Ruckman), where she grew up in the rural communities of Tilley and Markerville before relocating to Calgary in 1966. Diane was united in marriage to Edward Hofer in 1978.

Diane will be forever remembered by her loving family: her husband, Edward; her children, Ian (Solange) Hofer of Calgary; and Andrea (Igor) Aleksic of Sherwood Park; and three grandchildren: Korben, Verity, and Requinn; as well as her sister, Deborah (Tony) Webster of Nanton; and her brother, Matthew Gabas of Calgary.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of the Rimbey Hospital for their caring and compassionate care.

A Memorial Service in Celebration of Diane’s Life was held at the Lutheran Church of the Cross, 10620 Elbow Drive S.W., Calgary, on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. A reception followed at the church.
