Lester Pellack of Rimbey, Alberta, formerly of Ridgedale, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on New Year’s Eve, Monday, December 31, 2018 at the age of 69 years. Lester will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his beloved wife, Cheryl; and his three daughters, Tracy (Kory) Stene of Sylvan Lake; Trista Sippola of Calgary; and Tanelle Sippola also of Sylvan Lake; as well as three precious grandchildren: Brennan, Ryan, and Emily Stene. Ruby Schaff of Rimbey, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at the age of 86 years. Ruby will be forever remembered and greatly missed by her loving family: her son, Rod (Laurel) Schaff of Rimbey; her daughter, Penny Loyek of Olds; four cherished grandchildren: Kendra (Lee) Reynolds; Aaron (Stephanie) Schaff; Nicole (Cole) Hays; and Chad Loyek; and four precious great grandchildren: Robbi, Layne, Raina, and Rylee; as well as her nieces and nephews; and many close friends. Gertrude M. McDonald, formerly of Eckville, Alberta, passed away peacefully with family at her side at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at the age of 89 years. Gertrude May Hagerman was born on March 9, 1929 in Chaplin, Saskatchewan. Her work ethic was cultivated from hard work on the farm she was raised on south of Sylvan Lake with her three brothers and two sisters. After completing her teacher’s training in Calgary, Gertrude returned to the area to teach, and was united in marriage to Ewart McDonald in 1950. Gordon J. Price of Rimbey, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, Acute Care on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at the age of 86 years. Gordon will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his very close friends, Margo and Bob Conn of Rimbey; and his extended family: Margaret and Ed Tanasiuk of Rimbey; and Patricia Conn of Merritt, B.C.; in addition to his adopted grandchildren and great grandchildren: Mitch (Amy), Mason, Richard (Danielle), Daxton, Robyn (Ed), Benjamin, and Megan (Mat). Richard A. Feys of Rimbey, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, Acute Care on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at the age of 82 years. Richard was born in Rocky Mountain House on February 16, 1936. Richard, “Dick”, attended school in Rocky Mountain House. Well, sort of. It is said he often could be caught playing hooky and spending his time at the train trestle or fishing instead. He did not complete high school and went to work. Richard, with his cousin, Carly Turnquist, got jobs at the Atlas Lumber Yard peeling bark off railroad ties. Trevor Neil Blanchard of Hoadley, Alberta passed away unexpectedly at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the age of 41 years. Trevor will be forever remembered and greatly missed by his loving mother, Elaine Blanchard of Rimbey; his brother, Brad (Jackie) Blanchard of Ponoka; and his two nieces and one nephew: Morgan, Tory, and Carter.
