John ‘Charlie’ McVittie of Bluffton, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, with his family by his side, on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at the age of 75 years. Charlie will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his beloved wife of 54 years, Mona; his two sons, Alex McVittie of Bluffton; and Sandy McVittie, also of Bluffton; and his daughter, Heather (Lloyd) Fischer of Camrose. He will also be lovingly remembered by his sister, Edith (Bob) Kane of Ponoka; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other family members, and many treasured friends. Dorothy Lauretta Neufeld (nee Nichol) of Rimbey, Alberta went to be with her Lord on Thursday, February 28, 2019. She passed away at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, Area Three at the age of 96 years. Dorothy, along with her two younger brothers, was raised by loving parents on the family homestead near Lac Vert, Saskatchewan. She began her teaching career at the age of 18, and was a much-loved teacher and guide for hundreds of students over her career. Dorothy accepted the Lord as her Saviour in her teenage years; her faith was very important to her and she was a strong and faithful Christian. Dorothy attended and graduated from the Prairie Bible Institute in Three Hills, Alberta.

He was born in the Krupp District, Saskatchewan and passed away in Salmon Arm, B.C. at the age of 99 years, a father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and uncle. Reverend Gerrit ‘Jerry’ deVries, MTS of Rimbey, Alberta passed away at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at the age of 89 years. Boris T. Zurkan of Sylvan Lake, Alberta passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, Red Deer, Alberta on Monday, February 4, 2019 at the age of 94 years. Boris received his education at the West Curtis School and Portage Collegiate Institute. He enjoyed a long career as an electrician, retiring from the DEW Line in 1992 from Tuktoyaktuk, NWT, where he had one mile in the Canada Trail.
