CADSAND

Elaine Evangeline Cadsand of Rimbey, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, Area Three on Monday, June 29, 2020 at the age of 92 years. Elaine was born in her grandfather’s home at Ghost Pine, Alberta on November 8, 1927. At the young age of three years, the family moved to Burnaby, B.C. It was there that she attended school until Grade 9. At the age of 17 years, Elaine and her Aunt Margaret entered hairdressing school. Elaine had to sell her guitar and cash-in her savings bonds to pay for her education. Elaine met Dan shortly after, and they were married on February 6, 1946. With intense sadness we announce the sudden passing of Robert ‘Bob’ Edwin Graham on June 25, 2020 at the age of 33 years. Robert will always be remembered for his very loving and soft heart. Throughout his life, and especially in the past five years, Bob worked with his mom and dad at their place of business doing whatever was needed to be done. He was his dad’s right-hand man. His big heart ensured he was always there to lend a helping hand, regardless of what was requested. Bob would simply figure out a way to make it happen. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Alicia ‘Lee’ Varty (nee Woodhouse) on Monday, June 8, 2020 at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre. Lee will be forever remembered by her husband and forever friend, Gerry, who she met and married while they were both students at the University of Calgary. Over the next 37 glorious years, they taught and lived in the communities of Alder Flats/Buck Lake, Ponoka, Crestomere, Mecca Glen, and Bentley, raising their two children, Kami and Ken.
