Florence May Meikle of Rimbey, Alberta, formerly of Hoadley, Alberta, passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, Area Three on Friday, June 29, 2018 at the age of 91 years. Florence was born on January 28, 1927 to Henry and Mary Case, and was raised in the Tomahawk, Alberta area. In her late teens, she moved around a bit with employment until meeting the love of her life, Jim Meikle. They were united in marriage in 1948, and together they farmed and raised their family in the Hoadley area, where they resided until retiring to Rimbey. With family by her side, Josephine “Josie” Virginia Burrows of Rimbey, Alberta passed away at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at the age of 87 years. Josie was born at home on the Door Key Ranch near Fort Macleod, Alberta on September 20, 1930. She was the fourth child in a family of nine children born to Jim and Mary McNab. Josie always spoke with fondness of her childhood on the ranch; telling stories of cleaning house, cooking for the threshing crews, famous visitors, and riding horseback to school. Eva Mae Makofka of the Lavesta District passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, Area Two on her birthday, Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at the age of 90 years. Eva will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her two sons, Harl (Carine) Makofka of the Lavesta District; and Mark Makofka (Laurie Block) also of the Lavesta District; as well as four cherished grandchildren: Rodnee, Kyle, Justin, and Jessie; and four great grandchildren. Norma Lois Schmidt of Rimbey, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the age of 88 years. Norma will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her three children: her son, Brian (Gerrie) Schmidt of Sherwood Park; and her two daughters, Diane (Brian) Wheale of Rimbey; and Linda (Allan) Wheale of Spiritwood, Saskatchewan. She will also be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by eight cherished grandchildren: Kevin, Dennis, Jason, Christopher, Lindsey (Blaize), Rebekah (Josh), Abigail (Chris), and Abraham; nine precious great grandchildren; and her half sister, Isabel Beck of Red Deer; as well as many other relatives, and several c
