Norma Lois Schmidt of Rimbey, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the age of 88 years.

Norma will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her three children: her son, Brian (Gerrie) Schmidt of Sherwood Park; and her two daughters, Diane (Brian) Wheale of Rimbey; and Linda (Allan) Wheale of Spiritwood, Saskatchewan. She will also be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by eight cherished grandchildren: Kevin, Dennis, Jason, Christopher, Lindsey (Blaize), Rebekah (Josh), Abigail (Chris), and Abraham; nine precious great grandchildren; and her half sister, Isabel Beck of Red Deer; as well as many other relatives, and several close friends. Norma was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Irma Larson; and her beloved husband, Art in 2007.

A Public Memorial Service in Celebration of Norma’s Life was held at the Rimbey Church of the Nazarene, Rimbey on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Reg Darnell officiating. Cremation took place at the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer. A Family Interment will take place at a later date in the Arthurvale Cemetery, near Elnora, Alberta.
