We are sad to announce the passing of our brother and uncle, William “Bill” Edward Kowalchuk.  Bill was born in Mapova, Alberta, and passed away in Rimbey, Alberta on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at the age of 85 years.

Bill served in the Canadian Air Force until his eventual retirement to Rimbey.  He enjoyed many ‘fix-it’ projects, frequently visited the local library, and he liked to share a good, hearty laugh.

and will be dearly missed."

He leaves behind his sisters Margaret, Doreen (Don), Maureen, Kathleen, Pauline (George), and Diane (Rick); as well as many nieces and nephews. 

Bill was predeceased by his parents, John and Annie Kowalchuk; brothers Fred and Peter; sister Elsie; brothers-in-law Merv and Gordon; and a nephew Reagan.

With respect for Bill’s wishes, no formal funeral service will be held.
