CHORNEY

We sadly announce the peaceful passing of Marilyn Gloria Chorney, of Bluffton, Alberta, at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at the age of 72 years.

Marilyn will be lovingly remembered by her four sons:  Gerald (Michelle)

of Edmonton; Wade of Edmonton; Melvin (Paulette) of St. Albert; and Shayne, also of Edmonton; in addition to five grandchildren; and one great-grandson.  She will also be lovingly remembered by her sister Violet Schmidt of Bluffton; as well as three nephews, a niece, and several cherished friends.  Marilyn was predeceased by her parents; and three brothers.

With respect for Marilyn’s wishes, no formal ceremony will be held.  She will be laid to rest in the Iola Fairview Cemetery, Bluffton at a later date.  If desired, memorial donations in Marilyn’s memory may be made directly to the Central Alberta Humane Society, 4505 – 77 Street, Red Deer, Alberta  T4P 2J1 (www.cahumane.com).  Thoughts and messages to the family may be shared through the condolence area located at the bottom of this page.
