With immense heartache we announce the sudden passing of Inger M. Laing of the Ponoka, Alberta area. She passed away near Squamish, B.C. on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at the age of 76 years. Inger and her family immigrated from Denmark in 1950. She was a hard-working woman with many talents. Inger drove cars in demolition derbies, knew how to drive farm machinery, was an amazing hairdresser, did bookkeeping, meticulously sewed many wedding dresses, and made stunning ceramic dolls; to name a few. She loved to spend time with her family and friends, often cooking meals for everyone. Whenever possible, Inger attended sporting events and activities to show support and cheer on her favorite

Greta Irene Cooke (Scullion) of Rimbey, Alberta, formerly of South March, Ottawa, passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at the age of 90 years. Greta will be forever remembered and sadly missed by her best friend and companion, Gary Buckley; her son, Michael (Susan) Scullion of Rimbey; and her daughter, Cindy Horner of Duncan, B.C. Lori E. McLeod-Hale of Bluffton, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at the age of 65 years. Lori was the owner and operator of Lori’s Dream Café, sometimes known as the Bluffton Café, and enjoyed many pleasures in life. She enjoyed going for a drive and collecting antique rose teacups; and was passionate about fishing in the ocean, sailing, and her dogs. Lori drove school bus for just over 30 years, and is fondly remembered for always putting others before herself. Eric Bowman of Red Deer, Alberta passed away at his home on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at the age of 60 years. Eric will be lovingly remembered by his sister, Glenda (Lance) Wotherspoon of Crossfield; and his brother, Don (Judy) Bowman of Red Deer; as well as other relatives, and several close and cherished friends. James ‘Jim’ Edwin Wilson of Rimbey, Alberta passed away peacefully, with family by his side, at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at the age of 80 years. Jim was born and raised in Vegreville, Alberta, and was the middle child in a family of nine children. As a young man, he loved his time spent in the army cadets, becoming a corporal in the Reserve Force. Jim joined the Alberta Treasury Branch and worked at branches in Vermilion and Olds before moving to Camrose, where he met the love of his life, Vera, who was a daily customer. Josephine Olive Moore of Rimbey, Alberta, formerly of Olds, Alberta, passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, Long Term Care on Monday, August 3, 2020 at the age of 100 years. Josie was born at Lake McGregor, Alberta on January 20, 1920. She was united in marriage to Paul Newton, and they had three children: Ben, Victor, and Patricia. They resided in the Alberta communities of Dalemead, Rainier, Rockyford, and Calgary before moving to Penticton, B.C. when Paul retired. After Paul passed away in 1983, Josie moved back to Calgary a year later to be closer to family. Later, while wintering in Arizona, Josie met Fred Moore. They were married in 1993, and had ten happy
