LEES


Fannie Lees of Breton, Alberta, formerly of Red Deer, passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, Rimbey on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at the age of 83 years.


Fannie will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her beloved husband of 64 years, Paul; her four sons: Doug Lees of Rimbey; Brian (Therese) Lees of Calgary; Sid Lees of Bassano, Alberta; and Dave Lees of Airdrie; and her daughter, Karen (Terry) Wheale of Winfield; as well as four cherished grandchildren: Matt (Marla), Phil (Lynette), Beth (Mat), and Adam (Briana); and six great grandchildren: Samantha, Gennafer, Benjamen, Grady, Kecia, and Corbin. She will also be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her brother, Sid (Mary) Bradwell of Peace River; six sisters: Florence Tipton of Calgary; Grace Kine of Macklin, Saskatchewan; Gladys Crich of Macklin, Saskatchewan; Rita (Ron) Hawes of Estevan, Saskatchewan; Violet Lock also of Macklin, Saskatchewan; and Velma (Joe) Downing of Edmonton; and two sisters-in-law: Genny Bradwell of Calgary; and Rita Bradwell of Kindersley, Saskatchewan; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Fannie was predeceased by her parents, William and Alice Bradwell; three brothers: Frank, Bob, and Bud; and one sister, Rose Sirett.


A Public Funeral Service in Celebration of Fannie’s Life was held at the Hoadley Evangelical Missionary Church, Hoadley on Monday, January 16, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Dennis Burriss officiating. Interment preceded the Funeral Service in the Bunker Hill Cemetery, Winfield at 11:00 a.m. If friends desire, memorial tributes in Fannie’s Memory may be made directly to Parkinson Alberta, #102, 4918 – 46 Street, Red Deer, Alberta T4N 1N2 (www.parkinsonalberta.ca).
