McVITTIE


John ‘Charlie’ McVittie of Bluffton, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, with his family by his side, on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at the age of 75 years.


Charlie will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his beloved wife of 54 years, Mona; his two sons, Alex McVittie of Bluffton; and Sandy McVittie, also of Bluffton; and his daughter, Heather (Lloyd) Fischer of Camrose. He will also be lovingly remembered by his sister, Edith (Bob) Kane of Ponoka; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other family members, and many treasured friends. Charlie was predeceased by his parents, Alec and Gladys; his brother, Edward; and his sister, Betty Jean.


A Public Funeral Service in Celebration of Charlie’s Life was held at the Bluffton Community Hall, Bluffton on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Margaret Lange officiating. Interment followed in the West Haven Cemetery, Rimbey.
