With broken hearts we announce the passing of Alyssa Leah Bundt of Bluffton, Alberta. Alyssa passed from this world, to join her grandmother, on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the age of 18 years.
Born in Calgary, Alberta, Alyssa spent the first seven years of her life in the Calgary and Cochrane areas before moving to Bluffton. Her bubbly and outgoing personality allowed her to make friends easily wherever she went. Alyssa’s kindness and compassion were evident to all who knew her.
Comfortable in a ball gown, but known more for flannel shirts and overalls, Alyssa was a ruthless competitor in many sports, and she loved her time on her dirt bike and longboard. She was a talented artist and would spend hours hand-drawing Christmas and birthday cards for her loved ones; another sign of her thoughtfulness that did not go unnoticed. Alyssa possessed a great interest in mental health care; and she held a deep love of animals, as she helped look after numerous dogs and cats over the years. An avid reader, Alyssa could spend countless hours reading or re-reading one of the books in her extensive collection.
Alyssa is survived by her loving parents, Kim and Kelly; her older brother Brett; and her twin brother Logan. She is also survived by her grandfather Len; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends whom she treasured. Alyssa was predeceased by her uncle Scott; her cousin Savanna; and her grandmother Debbie, who cherished her grandchildren more than words can describe, and who Alyssa loved so deeply.
Alyssa had a fiery temper and was quick to unleash her wrath on those she felt had done wrong, as well as defend those who were treated unjustly. In Alyssa’s spirit, let us please be kind to one another, treat each other with respect and compassion, and help those in need every chance you have.
Remember Me
By Margaret Mead
To the living, I am gone,To the sorrowful, I will never return,To the angry, I was cheated,But to the happy, I am at peace,And to the faithful, I have never left.
I cannot speak, but I can listen.I cannot be seen, but I can be heard. So as you stand upon a shore gazing at a beautiful sea,As you look upon a flower and admire its simplicity,Remember me.
Remember me in your heart:Your thoughts, and your memories,Of the times we loved,The times we cried,The times we fought,The times we laughed. For if you always think of me, I will never have gone.
A family-hosted Celebration of Alyssa’s Life will be held at the Bluffton Community Hall, Bluffton on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 2:30 p.m., with Mr. Paul McLauchlin hosting. If desired, memorial donations in Alyssa’s memory may be made directly to the West Country Outreach School, Box 375, Rimbey, Alberta T0C 2J0 (www.westcountry.wolfcreek.ab.ca). Thoughts and messages to the family may be shared through the condolence area located at the bottom of this page.

Alyssa was such a wonderful kid. We so enjoyed having her in our ranks while she was a cadet, she always brought such a fun light to any room she was in. My fondest memory of her was one Christmas she lead her level in a round of random Christmas carols and had everyone in fits of giggles. Sorry for your loss ❤️

I didn't have the chance to get as close to Alyssa as I did the boys. But I've seen enough to experience that firey spirit you speak of. Alyssa was a gem of a young lady who knew what she wanted and was determined to get it, she would have done so well for herself once she found her place in this crazy life. Kim and Kelly you've raised some fine young adults, and it's such a shame a young flame has been snuffed so soon, my heart goes out to you two Brett and Logan. She will never be forgotten, and she will be with us all for years to come. Rest easy young lady, your in good hands…
