Mervin “Merv” G. Cooper of Caroline, Alberta passed away at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, Rimbey on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the age of 84 years.


Merv will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his beloved wife of 59 years, Stella; his loving family: his daughter, Diana (Dave) Ketchum of Wembley, Alberta; and his two sons, Dusty (Birdy) Cooper of Wildwood, Alberta; and Dale (Stacia) Cooper of Caroline; as well as eleven cherished grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. He will also be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his brother, Richard (Donna) Cooper of Olympia, Washington; and two sisters, Edna Cooper of Caroline; and Rena Peterson of Anchorage, Alaska; in addition to several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many close friends. Merv was predeceased by his parents, Clarice and Hartley; his son, Doug; and three brothers: Bud, Bill, and Deal.


A Public Memorial Service in Celebration of Merv’s Life was held at the Caroline Community HUB, 5103 - 48 Avenue, Caroline on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation took place at the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer. Interment took place in the Caroline Cemetery, Caroline.
