Mr. Vernon R. Ferguson of Tees, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Northcott Care Centre, Ponoka on Friday, February 16, 2018 at the age of 89 years.

Vernon will be remembered and sadly missed by his loving family: daughter, Bette Jo (Ray) Drisdelle of St. Albert; the greatest joy in Vernon’s life, his four granddaughters: Pati Lee Floyd, Monique (Del) Goodwin, Ginette Drisdelle, and Nancy (Davin) Simmonds; and his great grandchildren: John III, Emily, Shaun, Alexa, Luke, Brian, Duncan, and Harrison. He will also be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his brother, Fraser (Ethel) Ferguson of Leduc; his niece, Denise (Larry) Neufeld of Tees and their family: Caleb, Amber, Lacey, and Logan and their families; his nephew, David Ferguson of Edmonton; his sister-in-law, Jean Ferguson of Lacombe; and many other relatives and cherished friends. Vernon was predeceased by his parents; his beloved wife, Rhoda in 2005; his son, Bill; one brother, Robert; and one sister, Jean.

The Family would like to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the staff of the Northcott Care Centre in Ponoka for providing wonderful care to Vernon while he was there, and loving support at the time of his passing.

A Public Funeral Service in Celebration of Vernon’s Life was held at the Tees Community Hall, Tees on Monday, February 26, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Ted Wigglesworth officiating. Interment followed in the Earlville Rutherford Cemetery, Tees.
