RUMSEY

With great sadness we announce the quiet passing of Lynda Jane Rumsey (nee Pruden) of Mayerthorpe, Alberta, formerly of Rimbey, Alberta. Lynda was born on April 8, 1953 at Foam Lake, Saskatchewan and passed away peacefully, with her loving children at her side, at the Mayerthorpe Health Care Centre on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at the age of 65 years.

Lynda will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her cherished children: her daughter, Paulette (Markco) Plummer of Whitecourt; and her son, Cory Rumsey of … depends which horse racetrack is open! She will also be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her three grandsons - ‘her boys’ - Klaeton Neumeier, Kden Plummer, and Krz Plummer, all of Whitecourt; and her step grandson, Quade Plummer, also of Whitecourt. katchewan; Stuart Pruden of Thompson, Manitoba; and Donna Beatty also of Regina, Saskatchewan; as well as her in-laws, Bruce (Janet) Rumsey of Cremona, Alberta; Sharon Rumsey of Calgary; Allan (Barb) Rumsey of Merritt, B.C.; Roger (Donna) Rumsey of Rimbey; Gail Rumsey (Steve Hargass) of Stony Plain; and Mary Rumsey, also of B.C.; in addition to many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and several close and cherished friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Rex in 1993; her parents, George and Norma Pruden; one sister, Gayle Pruden; one brother, Glen Pruden; her mother and father-in-law, Dave and Kay Rumsey; and two brothers-in-law, Richard Rumsey and Paul Rumsey.

An Informal Memorial Gathering to Celebrate Lynda’s Life was held at the Bluffton Community Hall, Bluffton, Alberta on Monday, May 14, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Maralyn Mohr hosting.
