Gary R. Olson of Rimbey, Alberta passed away suddenly on Monday, August 20, 2018 at the age of 60 years. He will be remembered for his generosity, laughter, and ability to make a friend out of any body.

Gary will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Mary; and his three daughters: Stephanie Olson (Kelly Lesick), Chelsie (Parker) Toews, and Danielle Olson. He will also be lovingly remembered by his mother, Marie Olson; six brothers: Maurice (Linda) Olson, Len (Wendy) Olson, Duane Olson, Rick Olson, Greg Olson (Carol Landsbury), and David (Teresa) Olson; and six sisters: Leanne (Ken) Baudistel, Sharon Radomsky, Valerie Parama (Dennis Gauvin), Denise Olson, Melanie (Bert) Vleeming, and Laurie (Brian) Dick; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews. Gary was predeceased by his father, Richard in 1991; and his brother, Brian.

An Informal Public Gathering was held in Gary’s Memory at the Peter Lougheed Community Centre, Rimbey on Friday, August 31, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
