MCCULLOUGH

Larry Wayne McCullough of Rimbey, Alberta passed away at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at the age of 70 years.

Larry was born on September 25, 1947 at Hanna, Alberta. He always took pride in his work, and spent most of his career in the oil and gas industry. The joy of Larry’s life happened when he and Pat moved to the farm at Rimbey, where he spent hours with his miniature horses, cattle, dogs, and cats. Larry loved his sports: rodeo, chuckwagons, hockey, football, and baseball ~ and was a staunch supporter of the Flames, Stamps, and Blue Jays. Family, friends, music, animals, and camping were his passions. Larry was never happier than when he was sitting around a campfire with friends and family, singing and playing his guitar with his faithful dog by his side.

Larry leaves to mourn his closest friend and companion, Pat; his brothers and sisters: Dorothy (Dwight) Viste, Gayle McCullough, Jim (Pat) McCullough, Donna (Gary) Scholer, and Randy (Deb) McCullough; as well as his nieces and nephews: Shane (Carmen) Viste, Jodi (Russ) Koester, Nikki (Jason) Howell, Stephanie (Adam) Nielsen, and Cody McCullough.

A Celebration of Larry’s Life was held at the Rimbey Drop-In Centre, Rimbey on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Harold Hunter officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in the Columbarium at the Mountain View Cemetery, Calgary.
