Jim Stutheit of Rimbey, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, Acute Care on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at the age of 76 years.
Jim was born in Rimbey, where he was raised and obtained his schooling. He enjoyed farming for many years in Rimbey and area, and together with his wife, Rose they raised their family and worked hard on the farm. In 1988, Jim and Rose retired and moved to Enderby, B.C. where Jim followed his passion for carpentry and building beautiful log furniture. They later relocated to Dawson Creek, B.C. in 1995, and built log homes and a school for the Hutterite Colony in the area. In 2001, Jim and Rose moved back to Rimbey where they resided until his passing.
Jim will forever be remembered and greatly missed by his loving wife, Rose; and his two sons, Wesley (Bonnie) Stutheit of Westlock, and their children: Livia, and Aleta; and Mark (Tamara) Stutheit of Rimbey, and their children: Kaylea, Kendra, and Chloe. He will also be lovingly remembered by his brother, Ted (Joan) Stutheit of Rimbey; and his sister, Marilyn (Ray) Bosh of Lethbridge; in addition to many nieces and nephews. Jim was predeceased by his parents, Jean and Alvin Stutheit.
With respect for Jim’s wishes, no formal funeral service was held.
