AUSTIN

We are heartbroken to announce that Barbara “Barb” Jean Austin of Eckville, Alberta passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at the age of 73 years.

Barb will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her family: her son Dennis Thomas of Red Deer; her daughter Rhonda Thomas of Calgary; as well as five cherished grandchildren: Chalenne, Mathew, Michael, Damon, and Graison. She will also be lovingly remembered by two brothers, Patrick (Kathleen) Austin of New Westminster, B.C.; and Tommy (Audrey) Austin of Revelstoke, B.C.; and her sister Brenda Austin of Kamloops, B.C.; in addition to several nieces and nephews, other family members, and many close friends. Barb was predeceased by her parents; the father of her children, Ron; and one brother Brett.
