BAKER BRUHN
Sandra Lee Baker Bruhn was born in Vancouver, B.C. and passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at the age of 66 years on their beautiful farm near Rimbey, Alberta, with her husband at her side.
Sandy moved to Red Deer, Alberta with her mom Edna at a young age, and her mom passed away when Sandy was a week from her 9th birthday. She lived with her grandma Lucy Opp for three years, and then with her uncle and aunt, Elmer and Frances Opp for six years. Sandy graduated from Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School in 1973, and had many interesting and diverse jobs over her lifetime. She always said the ones she enjoyed the most, was where she dealt with people.
Sandy is survived by her darlin’ husband Chris; her sister-in-law Ulla; Chris’ children, Michael and Janean; her cousin Barb; and her fur babies, Kelsey and Scooter; as well as many cousins and friends. She firmly believed that family was so much more than blood, and therefore she is also survived by special sisters, Connie Pipke and Shannon Wilson, and their families; special sis Audrey Tippe and her family; and many special nieces and nephews. Sandy was predeceased by her mom Edna, grandma Lucy, aunt Fran, uncle Elmer, cousin Ron, special brother Doug Gallaway, and special mom and dad, Mildred and Ed Mulford.
“Sandy is at peace with her Lord, and knows she will see her mommy again.”
Many thanks for the wonderful care Sandy received from all the staff at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, Rimbey Home Care, and Rimbey Palliative Care.
A Family Celebration of Sandy’s Life was held at a later date. She had a life-long love of motorcycles and animals, and asked that in lieu of flowers, please donate to your favourite local animal society or rescue. Condolence messages may be forwarded to the family by visiting: www.ofc-ltd.ca
