With heavy hearts, the family of Gloria Jean Batke (nee Littmann) of Bluffton, Alberta announces that Gloria passed away at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at the age of 76 years.

Gloria was born in Edmonton, Alberta on May 19, 1945, and resided with her husband, Darwin on their farm in the Bluffton area for many years. She possessed a great love for the outdoors, and would spend countless hours enjoying the different seasons, picking berries, and spending time outside surrounded by nature. Gloria especially took pleasure in quadding, and chasing cows around the farm! She also loved any time that was spent painting or enjoying her unique talent of writing in decorative calligraphy. Gloria will be forever loved and remembered for being, “just a good, little ol’ farm girl”. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Gloria is survived by her loving husband, Darwin; and her son, Jason; as well as two cherished grandsons, Logan and Shaun. She is also survived by her brother, Lawrence (Shirley) Littmann; in addition to several nieces, nephews, other family members, and many close friends. Gloria was predeceased by her parents, and her siblings: Clarence, Marge, Laura, and Doreen.
