Fern Louise Brunet (née Carrington) of Rimbey, Alberta passed away at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at the age of 85 years.

With such heavy hearts we have had to say goodbye to our loving mom, grandma, and GG. Fern was a very kind, caring, and gentle soul that possessed a great sense of humour. She enjoyed books, puzzles, and playing games with her friends at the manor; but, her greatest love was spending time with her family. Fern was extremely proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and we are so grateful that we were able to have her in our lives.

Fern will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her son Dennis (Kati) Brunet of Oliver, British Columbia; her daughter Donna (Louis) Regnier of Rimbey; as well as two treasured grandchildren Brandon (Ashley) Regnier of Edmonton; and Amber Regnier (Dan Horne) of Penhold; and four cherished great-grandchildren Cohen, Kinley, Rachel, and Rory. She also leaves behind to mourn her passing, her sister Patricia Schneider of Grande Prairie; in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Fern was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Louis Brunet; her son Ronald; her parents, Alfred and Nora; and seven siblings.

With respect for Fern’s wishes, no formal funeral service will be held.
