BUSHEY


It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of James “Jim” L. Bushey of Red Deer, Alberta on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan at the age of 97 years.

Jim will be lovingly remembered by his family: two daughters, Fae Burton of Red Deer, and Marilynn Lautamus of Medicine Hat; his son-in-law Kurt Stolson of Brooks; stepson Don (Carol) Wiebe of Calgary; and his stepdaughter Geri (Ken) Sonnenberg of Red Deer; as well as fourteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren, and fifteen great, great grandchildren; in addition to many nieces and nephews, other family members, and many close friends. Jim was predeceased by his loving wife, Susan in 2018; three sons: Donald Bushey, Mick Mikkelson, and Leeland Mikkelson; two daughters: Sandra Stolson, and Carol Robinson; one granddaughter; as well as four brothers and five sisters.

A Memorial Service in Celebration of Jim’s Life was held at the Rimbey United Church, Rimbey on Friday, June 24, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Terry Friesen officiating. Jim and Susan were laid to rest together in the Innisfail Cemetery, Innisfail.
