With aching hearts we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Gordon “Gord” A. Cadsand of Rimbey, Alberta. He passed away tragically as a result of a motor vehicle accident near Ponoka on Thursday, November 25, 2021 at the age of 64 years.

Gord will be greatly missed and forever remembered by his loving family: his wife and best friend of 44 ½ years, Lana; his son, Mathew of Rimbey; and his daughter, Lisa (Luis) Estrada of Cancun, Mexico; as well as two adoring grandchildren, Brady and Eva Paris. He will also be lovingly remembered by his two brothers, Daniel (Sharon) of Rimbey; and David (Paula) of Pike Lake, Saskatchewan; in addition to many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, several extended family members; along with countless friends and associates. Gord was predeceased by his parents, Dan and Elaine; and his son, Kyle in 2005.

A Graveside Service in Celebration of Gord’s Life was held at the West Haven Cemetery, Rimbey on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Marco Ste-Marie officiating. He was laid to rest, joining his son, Kyle. There is no doubt the earth will be rumbling as they reunite to rekindle their banter between Gord’s much-loved Edmonton Oilers and the Vancouver Canucks!
