GURNETT

It is with much sorrow that we announce the passing of our cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Elizabeth “Margaret” Gurnett of Rimbey, Alberta. Margaret passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at the age of 90 years.

Margaret will be forever remembered and deeply missed by her loving family: her beloved husband of 71 years, Jack; and her children: Heather, Gordon, Susan (Tom), Ted (Mayi), Karen, and Joanne (Miles). She will also be lovingly remembered by eleven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren; her sister, Donna; as well as several additional family members, and many close and treasured friends. Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Peggy Wigley; two sons, James and David; and her granddaughters, Silk and Jessica.

A Family Graveside Service in Celebration of Margaret’s Life was held at the Hoadley Cemetery on Friday, October 8, 2021.
