JONES

It is with heavy hearts we announce the loss of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and auntie, Shellie Elizabeth Jones of Winfield, Alberta. Shellie passed away at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at the age of 64 years.

Shellie was born on August 6, 1958 in Dawson Creek, British Columbia. She was an amazing teacher, spending her entire teaching career at the Breton Elementary School. Shellie and Robert bought their farm in 1989, where they continued to reside. Even with her roots firmly planted, Shellie loved to travel.

Shellie will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Robert “Rogie” Rodin; her son Chris Jones of Alder Flats; and her daughter Geneva Rodin of Winfield; as well as two precious granddaughters Emily and Lizz Jones. She will also be missed by three brothers Leroy (Bev) Jones of Ponoka; Doug (Bonnie) Jones of Winfield; and Lance (Caron) Jones of Pouce Coupe, British Columbia; and three sisters Casey DesChamp of Edmonton; Arla Lennox of Winfield; and Julie (Jack) Linklater of Pouce Coupe, British Columbia; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and dear friends. Shellie was predeceased by her parents Lloyd and Florence Jones; her brother Victor Jones; and her niece Terri Spelliscy.

A Celebration of Shellie’s Life was held at the Winfield Community Centre on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with Mr. Randy Jones presiding. If friends desire, memorial tributes in Shellie’s memory may be made directly to the charity of one’s choice.
