With broken hearts we announce that Clayton R. Kushniryk of Rimbey, Alberta passed away at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Edmonton on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at the age of 63 years, after a year-long struggle with complications from lung surgery.
Clayton enjoyed spending his days working in his shop on one project or another, meeting his friends for coffee, working and visiting at Lockhart Valley Simmentals, taking care of the buffalo at Simalta Farms, or just simply relaxing at home with his family. He will be remembered as a loving husband and wonderful father, a devoted friend, and a genuine and good-hearted man. He will be greatly missed by many people for a long time to come.
Clayton will be forever remembered and sadly missed by his loving family: his wife of 41 years, Dianne; his son J, and his daughter Jenna; as well as his precious granddaughters, Katie and Meggan. He will also be lovingly remembered by eight siblings: Dale (Twila), Darryl (Terri), Bev (Al), Pat, Lorne (Geraldine), Leslie (Maureen), Randy, and Blaine; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews, countless other family members, and many cherished friends. Clayton was predeceased by his parents, Violet and Alexander; his brother Wayne; and his sister Delores.
An Informal Gathering of Family and Friends to Celebrate Clayton’s Life was held at Lockhart Valley Simmentals, south of Rimbey (south on Lockhart Road, 16 km to Township Road 411, west 1 km to 2519, Twp 411) on Sunday, March 6, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Condolence messages may be forwarded to the family by visiting: www.ofc-ltd.ca
