LUNZMANN


Georgina “Georgie” Johanna Lunzmann (neé Vetsch) of Rimbey, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, Long Term Care on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at the age of 83 years.


Georgie will be greatly missed and forever remembered by her loving family: two sons Clarence (Dixie) Lunzmann of Bluffton; and John (Tara) Lunzmann also of Bluffton; her daughter Bertha (Lyle) Lewis of Prince George, B.C.; as well as eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. She will also be lovingly remembered by five brothers Bob (Evelyn) Vetsch of Smithers, B.C.; James Vetsch of Rimbey; David Vetsch of Valleyview, Alberta; Steven (Luella) Vetsch also of Valleyview; and Alvin Vetsch of Grimshaw, Alberta; and two sisters Connie Snyder of Rocky Mountain House; and Cecelia (Carl) Arnold of Sundre; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews; and many additional family members and close friends. Georgie was predeceased by her parents Johanna and Alfred; her beloved husband Rudy in 1986; her daughter Joan in 2013; one brother Bernard Vetsch; and one sister Geraldine Cooper.


A Public Service in Celebration of Georgie’s Life was held at the Liberty Hall on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Marco Ste-Marie officiating. Everyone was also invited to attend the Graveside Service, which preceded at 10:00 a.m., when Georgie was laid to rest with her husband and daughter in the West Haven Cemetery, Rimbey. If friends desire, memorial tributes in her memory may be made directly to the charity of one’s choice.
