LYONS


Larry O. Lyons of Rimbey, Alberta passed away quietly, but suddenly at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at the age of 73 years.


Larry will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his wife and soul mate, Geri; his children: James Pawelczak of Blackfalds; Christina (Roger) Leeder of Buck Creek, Alberta; Marilyn Gress of Mulhurst, Alberta; Jason Lyons of Medicine Hat; Robbie Lyons also of Medicine Hat; and Carrie (Chris) Shaw of Spruce Grove; along with his adopted son, Matt Klassen; as well as nine grandchildren, and one great grandchild. He will also be lovingly remembered by his mother, Lucille Lyons of Okotoks; three brothers: Nelson Lyons of Longview, Alberta; Noble (Doris) Lyons of High River; and Kelvin Lyons of Edmonton; his sister, Maureen (Dan) Leimer of Okotoks; in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many close friends. Larry was predeceased by his father, Cliff; an infant daughter, Penney; his first wife, Sylvia; one brother, Miles; and his mother-in-law, Lorna Holtman.


No service took place at the time. A Celebration of Larry’s Life was held at a later date when the health restrictions permitted a gathering of his friends and family.
