McVITTIE


Our loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend, Mona B. McVittie of Bluffton, Alberta passed away at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at the age of 78 years.


Mona will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her two sons, Alex McVittie of Bluffton; and Sandy McVittie, also of Bluffton; and her daughter Heather (Lloyd) Fischer of Camrose; in addition to her brother Frank (Pat) Eilersen of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; and her sister Irene Eilersen of Vancouver, B.C. She will also be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews; numerous relatives in Denmark; and additional family members throughout Alberta. Mona will also be forever loved by countless friends in the Bluffton and Rimbey areas. She was predeceased by her parents, Poul and Ulla Eilersen; and her beloved husband Charlie in 2019 after 54 years of marriage.


A Memorial Service in Celebration of Mona’s Life was held at the Bluffton Community Hall on Friday, February 25, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Marco Ste-Marie officiating. Mona will be laid to rest with her beloved husband Charlie in the West Haven Cemetery, Rimbey at a later date.
