Bernice “Gran” Mitchell of Rimbey, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, Area Three on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at the age of 97 years.

Gran will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her cherished family: her two daughters, Donna (Roger) Rumsey of Rimbey; and Marlene (Neale) Neiman also of Rimbey; as well as five treasured grandchildren: Robert, Matthew, Ashley, Dawn, and Michelle; and twelve precious great grandchildren. She will also be lovingly remembered by two brothers, Bob (Eleanor) Poland of Keremeos, B.C.; and Ray Poland of Golden, B.C.; in addition to her two special friends, Joann McRae of Camrose; and Valerie Warren of Rimbey. Gran will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many additional friends. She was predeceased by her husbands, George Bruce and Ray Mitchell; and five brothers and three sisters.
