Rosella May Monteith of Rimbey, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at the age of 92 years.

Rosella will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her three sons Jim Monteith of Rimbey; Alan Monteith of Violet Grove, Alberta; and Leonard (Atsuko) Monteith of Coquitlam, British Columbia; and her daughter Diane (Bob) Shave of Breton; as well as ten grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; and seven great, great grandchildren. She will also be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her sister Muriel Carson of Victoria, British Columbia; a special niece and her husband, Kelly and Bill Hansen of Rimbey; in addition to many other nieces, nephews, and family members; along with several cherished friends. Rosella was predeceased by her parents Albert and Serreta Trefry; her husband Ron; brother Victor Trefry; and her sister Marie Hutchinson.

With respect for Rosella’s wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. If friends desire, memorial tributes in her memory may be made directly to the charity of one’s choice. Thoughts and messages to the family may be shared through the condolence area located at the bottom of this page.
