PERRAS


Judith “Judy” Anne Perras of Rimbey, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at the age of 83 years.


Judy was born in Worksop, England in 1938. She immigrated with her parents to Canada when she was 16 years old, and settled in Ontario. She married, raised four sons, separated, and moved to Alberta. Judy met by chance an old family friend, Don Hewer. She continued her life’s journey with Don, her long-time friend and companion. Judy loved reading, gardening, knitting, and sharing stories of her early life during war times.


Judy will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her three sons, Randy (Val) Perras of Chestermere Lake, Alberta; Dave (Sharon) Perras of Kamloops, B.C.; and Hal (Lorrie) Perras also of Kamloops, B.C.; as well as eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She will also be lovingly remembered by several other relatives, and many treasured friends. Judy was predeceased by her parents, Phyllis and Gerald Cousins; her best friend and companion, Don Hewer in 2021; her son, Brett in 1988; and her granddaughter, Charmaine in 2020.


With respect for Judy’s wishes, no formal funeral service was held.
