RAYMOND

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mom, Wendy Raymond (nee Scott) of Bentley, Alberta. She passed away at the Red Deer Hospice on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at the age of 67 years.

Wendy was born on May 30, 1953 to Eleanor and Louis Scott in Red Deer, where they resided until Wendy’s middle school years and then they moved to Bentley. Wendy was united in marriage to Barry Raymond in 1970. They moved to several different towns, finally settling on the Raymond homestead in Bentley in 1980, where she lived out the remainder of her life.

Wendy is survived by her son, Scott (Toni) Raymond of Eckville; her daughter, Teryl (Jason) McDonagh of Red Deer; and her precious grandchildren: Tyson, Jared, and Jenna McDonagh, all of Red Deer. She is also survived by her sisters, Debbie Wheeler of Red Deer; and Jackie Scott of Ladysmith, B.C.; in addition to several nieces: Jolyne, Niki, Pam, Stacey, and Tanya; and her nephew, Terry. Wendy was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Barry in 2016; as well as her parents, Eleanor and Louis.

Wendy worked the last several years at the Bentley Care Centre, where she met many wonderful friends and colleagues. She spoke very highly of everyone who works there and who care so much for the residents.
