STEVENSON

Those we love are not far away…

they ride beside us every day.

With sadness we announce the passing of Dallas Wayne Stevenson of Sturgeon County, Alberta, formerly of Thorsby and Rimbey, Alberta.  Dallas passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 10, 2024 at the age of 58 years, with his companion Maureen by his side.

Dallas was born on October 9, 1965 in Rimbey, and was the second child born to Delbert and Joyce Stevenson.  He attended school in Rimbey, and at the age of 17 years he began working in the oilfield.  Dallas followed this path for many years, eventually starting his own oilfield consulting company.  He married Wendy Newman in 1997, and together raised their two children Haley and Raelyn.  Dallas loved hunting, fishing, and his Harley.  He spent many hours tearing apart and rebuilding bikes, and touring the highways with his friends.  In 2022 Dallas met Maureen Fransen, and they enjoyed their time together these past several months.  She was his friend and companion, and by his side to his last breath.

Ride forever in peace in Harley heaven, Dallas.

Free road - full tank - full throttle.

Dallas will be lovingly remembered by his two daughters Haley Stevenson (James McMillian) and Raelyn Stevenson (Taylor Beelby); his partner and companion Maureen and her son Michael Ryan; his sister Donna (Dwayne) Hunter; and the mother of his children Wendy.  He will also be missed by numerous nieces and nephews; other family members; and many treasured friends.  Dallas was predeceased by his father Delbert in 2014; his mother Joyce in 2021; along with several other relatives.

With respect for Dallas’ wishes, no formal funeral service will be held.  If desired, memorial donations in his memory may be made directly to the charity of one’s choice.  Thoughts and messages to the family may be shared through the condolence area located at the bottom of this page.
