With sadness we announce that Irene Taylor of the Crestomere, Alberta area passed away at the Red Deer Hospice on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at the age of 90 years.


Irene will be lovingly remembered by her treasured family: her two sons, Joe (Kim) Taylor of Smith, Alberta; and Mike (Val) Taylor of Onoway, Alberta; and her daughter, Steph (Arnold) Kluin of the Dakota District, Alberta; in addition to eight grandchildren: Scott, Kelsey (Bryan), Brandon (Jessica), Mitchel, Mandy (Tom), Tyrrena (Darcy), Tyson (Jenn), as well as Yvonne; five great grandchildren: Olivia, MacKenzie, Lincoln, Hannah, as well as Breanna; and four step-great grandchildren: Emma, Rain, Dathen, and Micah. She will also be lovingly remembered by two brothers, Waslow (Margaret) of Spruce Grove; and Joe (Irene) of Onoway; and three sisters: Helen, Marjorie, and Barb, all of Onoway; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and numerous close friends. Irene was predeceased by her parents; her beloved husband, Gordon in 2019; her daughter-in-law, Karen; a great grandson, Fynn; one brother, Victor; and one sister, Julia.


A Family Graveside Service in Celebration of Irene’s Life was held at the Dakota Cemetery on Friday, October 8, 2021, when Irene was laid to rest beside her husband, Gordon.
