SIMONEAU

Andre Joseph Simoneau of Red Deer, Alberta went to meet the Lord on the morning of Monday, February 16, 2026.  He passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, at the age of 92 years.

After being raised in the area of Girouxville, Alberta, Andre resided in various towns throughout the province where he worked as a handyman and jack-of-all-trades.  He was remarkable at figuring out any problem that would give other people issues, making him a knowledgeable, sought-after, and talented handyman.

Andre is survived by his wife Katherine; his children Aime, Brian, and Andrea; as well as being loved by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his sisters Juliette, Annette, and Cecile; in addition to many nieces and nephews.  Andre was predeceased by his parents Adiana Richer-Simoneau and Albert Simoneau; his stepmother Marie-Anna Simoneau; his first wife Mary Peteetuce; a granddaughter Robin; along with numerous sisters, brothers, and a great-nephew.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 5033 – 47A Avenue, Sylvan Lake, Alberta on Monday, June 1, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., with the Reverend Father Leon Kler, Celebrant.  Andre will be laid to rest in the Girouxville Cemetery at a later date.
