With heavy hearts and fond memories, we announce the passing of Jerry William Strellaeff, a beloved soul who left this world a little brighter – certainly a lot louder – than he found it.
Known by all as a true joker, Jerry had a knack for turning even the most ordinary moments into unforgettable stories. His laughter was infectious, his tales always a bit taller each time they were told, and his joy for life absolutely unmatched. Whether it was a perfectly timed punchline or a dramatic retelling of an everyday trip to the store, Jerry could keep a room in stitches.
Jerry loved food almost as much as he loved people – though not enough to pay full price for it. A master of finding the best deals and a champion of the “buy one, get one” lifestyle, he made thriftiness an art form and always had a coupon at the ready. Still, he would give you the last bite of his favourite meal without hesitation.
A gifted musician, Jerry found joy and peace behind his steel guitar. He loved nothing more than playing in the band, losing himself in the music, and sharing that joy with anyone lucky enough to listen. Whether on stage or just jamming with friends, his music spoke volumes about the heart and soul behind the man.
Above all else, Jerry loved his family. He especially adored his grandchildren, Skylar, Bret, Kierra, Caidynce, and Taegan. Time spent with them was his greatest joy, whether he was teasing them with jokes, cheering them on, or simply sitting with them – his love was constant and unconditional. They were his pride and joy, and Jerry never missed a chance to remind them of it.
Though we are heartbroken, we find comfort in the countless memories of laughter, love, and shared meals. Jerry may be gone, but the shenanigans – and the joy brought to our lives – will live on.
Rest easy, Jerry. Thank you for the laughs, stories, and all the many fond memories.
With respect for Jerry’s wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. Thoughts and messages to the family may be shared through the condolence area located at the bottom of this page.

Condolences. Sorry for your families' loss.
To Family
Our deepest condolences. He will be missed but memories of him will live on. There was nobody like him. The memories of him living at our place on the farm in the summer were the best fun when he was around. Always had a smile a joke or story to tell us younger kids.
Prayers and love sent to you.
